Are you feeling “The Force” lately? Maybe it’s just brain freeze.
In celebration of the upcoming December release of “Star Wars: The Force Awakens,” Ample Hills Creamery partnered with Disney to launch two flavors of limited edition “Star Wars” ice cream: the Dark Side and the Light Side.
Each of the flavors designed by Ample Hills Creamery are crafted to represent each side of the Force. The “Light Side” is a marshmallow-flavored ice cream, completed with crispy clusters. Additionally, there are chocolate crispies included, to remind ice cream eaters that the dark side is still lurking on the light side.
For the “Dark Side” flavor, Ample Hills used an extra-dark chocolate ice cream with espresso brownie pieces and chocolate crispies. And to represent the presence of the light side, the Dark Side also has white chocolate pearls in order to “represent the light still hiding in the dark, waiting to burst through.”
Ample Hills Creamery is a family-owned ice cream shop based in New York City. The creamery is one of the number one rated ice cream shops, and Food Network has dubbed their ice cream as some of the best in America.
The ice cream will only be available for a limited time, and will be sold in packs of four pints for $36. The company will ship anywhere in the US with the option of either one or two-day shipping.
And individuals who live in New York City can bypass the shipping altogether and pick up orders at Ample Hills Creamery’s Gowanus location. However, in order to receive the ice cream, they must buy it online.
Typically, the month of June is the most popular month to buy ice cream. But with the release of these two new ice cream flavors on the market, this year might have a new force to reckon with even with the chilly weather.
And for those who like to fancify their ice cream, hit the web and purchase a Death Star Waffle Maker for $39.99.
